Amanda Abizaid is an American Lebanese Singer, Songwriter best known as the vocalist on the theme song “A Place In Time” from Paramount’s The 4400. Amanda’s latest EP Walking In Twos features the legendary Stephen Stills and has won six music awards since it’s release March 2017. The project’s goal is to create a self-sufficient revenue stream using profits from the song's downloads and streams to buy school supplies for the Aeta children of the Philippines. Her new single release of the title track “Walking in Twos” feat. Stephen Stills is a Bollywood Remix by award winning singer/songwriter/composer and producer Raj Ramayya, best known for his work for classic anime such as Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in The Shell and video games such as Resident Evil and Shenmue.

Their mutual friend Steffen Franz, President/Founder of IDC Independent Distribution Collective, who has been representing Amanda’s music for over ten years internationally, introduced Amanda and Raj.
Amanda and Raj met at a live performance venue in Napa Valley where Bill Ortiz, trumpeter for Santana, would be performing. They instantly hit it off as new friends laughing, sharing music stories and mutual interests. They began to brainstorm on how they would begin to tour and collaborate together and began to book several live shows together in and around the Bay area creating a buzz on the music scene.
When the time came to record Amanda’s EP Walking In Twos last year, she reached out to Raj to collaborate. They discussed the project and made plans for Amanda to fly to San Francisco to record two songs at Raj’s production studio Strawberry Hill Music www.strawberryhillmusic.com. The songs “One Love,” an acoustic reggae rock single, featuring bi-lingual lyrics; and “Promises Of Love,” a trip hop World beat track featuring Egyptian oud player Ahmed Kamal are both on the Walking In Twos EP and co-produced with Raj Ramayya.
That’s when Amanda learned that Raj’s wife was originally from the Philippines. Based on their long time relationship and his knowledge of world beat music and experience as a producer, Amanda asked if he would be interested in supporting her cause for the Aeta and record a remix of “Walking In Twos”. Raj was definitely interested and began working on the remix during his up coming trip to India.
Raj draws in musical elements from his Indian heritage to the Remix, which is heavily influenced by artists like Transglobal Underground, Thievery Corporation. Massive Attack, Gorrilaz and Flying Lotus, which are also favorites of Amanda. “Walking In Twos” feat. Stephen Stills Bollywood Remix will be released on all platforms Friday, November 16th, 2018.
